Exporing very locally a range of plants and their communities, investigating our relationship with them and considering how we experience them inthe wider context of climate change.
With gentle, slow waling, over very short distances, with plenty of standing and onbserving, we will explore communities of plants in the Claridge House Gardens and very locally on foot. Our focus will be on enjoying the breadth and depth of the plant kingdom, rather than just identification (excluding fungi which are now studied separately).
If you are interested in plants, why they matter and would like to explore more, this is a course for you.
- A note book and pencil/electronic device and if you already have one, a hand lens
- Your favourite plant poem or short piece of prose to share on Wednesday evening
- Waterproof and hot weather clothing/sun hat/sun cream/strong non slip walking shoes (not sandals)
- epipen/medications as necessary for allergies
- any favourite plant books you already have to share

Just a little note of thanks for a wonderful time this past week on a personal retreat. Your kindness helped me to ease back into `real life` after the past two years of isolation. I hope to see you all again soon. JC Mar 2022
