Learn to paint flowers and other traditional subjects with brushstrokes from your heart. Suitable for all levels and beginners are very welcome.

The course will begin with an introduction to the `Four Treasurers` of Chinese Brush Painting: Ink; ink stone; paper and brushes, and then cover some of the basic brush strokes and practice. Teaching is by tutor demonstration and individual support.

After this we will paint traditional subjects, such as, flowers, birds, simple landscape (trees and mountains) and, of course, bamboo.

If you already have some Chinese brush painting equipment you are welcome to bring it along, if not, equipment is available to borrow, for the course.
There will be a selection of authentic Chinese Brush Painting materials and books for sale, but students are under no obligation to make any purchases.

If you wish to stay longer, or start your stay earlier, please contact us about availability.
