Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that can benefit people of all ages. The health benefits of Tai Chi have been confirmed by numerous medical studies. They include improving your breathing, overall body flexibility and balance as well as reducing stress. It will be taught in a supportive atmosphere so you will leave Claridge House greatly refreshed and with a greater understanding of this ancient art. This midweek course is suitable for a range of abilities from absolute beginners to those who have been practising for a couple of years and who are seeking to have a deeper understanding of the principles of Tai Chi.

The course is taught by Andrei Illes. Following his long involvement with various martial arts he started studying Tai Chi in 2012. Andrei now teaches Chen style Tai Chi in his local community. He is a member of the Tai Chi Union of Great Britain.
Andrei is also a professional massage therapist and teacher with many years’ experience. In his practice he uses his knowledge and experience of internal energy gained from his lifelong interest in martial arts.
Andrei has a firm belief in the effectiveness of massage as a complementary therapy capable of benefiting everyone. Andrei’s massages are all performed with consideration of his client as his prime guiding principle. His clients are people of all ages and his natural, caring approach generates a sense of security and well-being that has them returning time and time again.

Rooms available to check in from 3pm on Tuesday
Afternoon tea and cake served at 4pm
Quiet time at 4.45pm
Supper at 6.30pm
First session starts at 7.45pm
Course ends with Thursday lunch, depart at 2pm
