Outline programme for herb weekend at Claridge House May 15 2018
Session 1 10.00 – 11.00 Introduce ourselves and share any prior use made of herbs. Outline the different ways herbs can be used – direct application, teas (infusions), tinctures, creams, inhaling, meditation. Some commonly used herbs for the simplest method of treatment (teas) focussing on those you could grow yourself or find in your garden (weeds!) - how to identify.
Session 2 11.30 – 12.45 Discuss use of tinctures and run a practical session helping participants to prepare tinctures, suitable for general use, from fresh or dried herbs I have brought with me. I provide all the necessary materials and equipment. Discuss where to obtain dried herbs, when to gather fresh herbs, how much to use, how to dry if necessary, storage etc. Handout giving details.
Session 3 2.00 - 3.30 How to decide which herb to use for specific personal need. Suggestions of useful books available and introduction to dowsing if participants are interested. Demonstrate how to make creams for skin conditions and bring samples of materials. If time make some herbal toothpaste.
Session 4. 3.45 – 4.45 Guided meditation on herbs as a healing process using colour photos of herbs. Close with sharing on what they have found interesting/helpful and what they hope to do with what they have learnt.

I have just returned from a retreat that was held at Claridge House. I can`t recommend it highly enough, the friendly staff, fabulous vegetarian food , beautiful gardens and the lovely clean and airy rooms all added up to an absolutely wonderful stay - June 2017
Our first visit here and we certainly feel we are going away with `rest and renewal`. We enjoyed the comfortable accommodation, had a lovely massage and the daily quiet times were also very special for us - January 2017
The room was spotless and very comfortable, the vegetarian breakfast was gorgeous, lovely fresh produce, dairy free and gluten free items too. Tranquillity and peace all around in the lovely 2 acres the house is set in - June 2017
Everything. Lovely friendly staff. Good food. A cosy "feel at home" style place amongst trees and green, giving peace and calm. Surely would stay again! So close to Gatwick Int. Airport. That`s a real convenience for foreign travellers - November 2016
Wonderful and welcoming staff, who were very attentive and happy to help. Beautiful property with large clean rooms. This is a health retreat as well as b&b style accommodation, so no TV in the rooms or alcohol. Very close to the village for dinner or drinks though - October 2016
