Retreats are for ordinary people at any time in their lives. There are no expectations of anyone going on retreat, and you don’t need to be a person of faith. At a practical level, taking time out to recharge and reflect can act like a holiday, relieving stress and fatigue and offering a fresh perspective on issues and concerns in your everyday life. You need to be sufficiently strong emotionally and spiritually to benefit from time alone.
A self-led day retreat can be taken on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (£30 including lunch and refreshments). There is no programme apart from the two optional short quiet times each day, refreshment times and lunch, so you will have time to relax, read (our library holds a wide selection of books, including topics such as healing and complementary health) or enjoy the beautiful two-acre garden.
We also offer a selection of Led Day Retreats (£40 including lunch and refreshments) where a tutor comes in to guide the day and there is a particular focus or topic – please have a look under the Retreat Options for more information.
If you feel you need a longer stay, a four-night stay we currently offer full board personal retreats during the first week of each month. At all other times, we offer personal retreats on a B&B basis.
