CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING - Summer Birds and Creatures
Maggie will use traditional Chinese materials to demonstrate the techniques used to create freestyle and impressionistic pictures typical of the Chinese style. During the weekend you will paint compositions of flowers, birds and insects using the traditional materials. The course is suitable for beginners or improvers.
Maggie Cross, learned the art of Chinese painting in Hong Kong, where she grew up. Materials may be available at a small cost.

FREEING THE BREATH - an introduction to Buteyko
Buteyko is a simple method of self-healing, through getting to know our own breath, and using breath to enhance our well-being. We will learn some simple exercises and begin to make small conscious changes which improve health. Especially effective for asthma, anxiety and other breathing disorders. (Wear loose comfortable clothing).

EYE HEALING RETREAT
This workshop will give us tools to rediscover ourselves and to move us along a healing journey towards improving the health of our eyes. BEAT AGEING WITH YOGA
Yoga can slow down ageing by improving the quality of your health in the long term. Those who feel they have no talent, or who lack previous experience, can learn to draw with skill and confidence. This structured, but straightforward, course shows you how to see and to draw as an artist does, by engaging the creative right side of the brain. Drawing becomes a relaxing discovery of the beauty and complexity of the world.

SOUL’S JOURNEY
What is meant by spirituality? How is it different from religion? How does it affect you? SOCRATIC DIALOGUE on 'When should I forgive?'
Socratic Dialogue fosters critical thinking, developing listening and reasoning skills. With questions drawn from everyday life, no prior experience is needed. Participants share examples from their experience. The group identifies reasons for judgements and seeks consensus. Course participants are asked to attend all sessions to foster co-operative work and continuity. The question this time is 'When should I forgive?'

THE CREATIVE RELATIONSHIP
Explore relationships in your life, identifying one to focus on, as well as looking at your relationship with yourself.
